Vivonne Bay Kangaroo Island

Walks on Kangaroo Island

Located 120-kilometres south of Adelaide, and a short ferry trip from Cape Jervis, Kangaroo Island is the third largest island off the coast of mainland Australia. A popular tourist destination, there's plenty of hiking to do on the island, with the main attraction being the Kangaroo Island Wilderness Trail.

The best hiking trails can be found on the western side of the island, in Flinders Chase National Park, with great coastline and wildlife to see, and a new upgraded visitor centre. Other walks are scattered around the island, showcasing small nature reserves, historical sites and geological features.

Be aware that Kangaroo Island is a large place, and driving around the island takes longer than you might think.
